Our Villa Tartaruga is a place of peace, relaxation and shared enjoyment. On the following pages we will show you what you can expect.

Experience our detached, traditional natural stone house

As a guest, you use the entire first floor with approx. 120 m². All areas have been lovingly renovated. The private pool and the entire property are at your exclusive disposal during your vacation.

In the outdoor area there are several beautifully laid out seating areas where you can find peace and relaxation. These include the south-facing main terrace with approx. 36 m² or the cozy chill-out lounge.

Nestled in a 3000 m² fenced garden with mature trees, well-tended green areas and a variety of native plants, the former farmhouse is an idyllic retreat for nature lovers. If you close the gate, the garden is escape-proof for children and dogs.

The name Tartaruga means ‘turtle’ in German. We named the house this because it nestles into the hillside like a turtle.

We can only congratulate you on your property!
The comfortable house, which has been lovingly restored and extended, leaves nothing to be desired: beautiful living and sleeping areas, a very well-equipped kitchen, and covered outdoor seating that we enjoyed using even when it rained.
Special praise also goes to the beautifully landscaped garden and, of course, the spacious pool area, where we often spent time. The cherries that were just ripening quickly ended up in a cherry casserole. We were also constantly delighted by the magnificent view of the surrounding countryside..."

"Your house is simply a dream; you arrive and immediately feel like you've been invited to stay with good friends. The kitchen is perfect, everything is there, milk frother, Parmesan grater, scales, I didn't even have to unpack my sharp knives! Everything is spotlessly clean, the oven looks like new, as does the microwave, the refrigerator with lovely surprises (Prosecco, thank you very much for that), even ice cubes from a freezer that looks almost clinically clean.
It's wonderful that you can access the garden from every room, that you can find a sunny spot or a shady spot at any time of day, and everywhere smells of rosemary, sage, lavender...
And the infinity pool... you feel like you're swimming right into the valley. There were even inflatable swimming accessories available, plenty of umbrellas (2 people, 2 umbrellas... what luxury!). Just for fun, I suggest adding a refrigerator and an espresso machine by the pool... that would be the icing on the cake...
As you can tell, it was very difficult for us to return to Munich. I miss breakfast in the loggia with a view of Barchi and the rustling of lizards as soon as you entered the garden...
Dear Hilliger family, take good care of your treasure – we plan to come back as soon as possible, even though it will be even more difficult to leave again...

"We enjoyed a wonderful week's vacation at the beautifully situated Villa Tartaruga at the end of September. The Hilliger family has breathed new life into an old farmhouse here and fulfilled a dream that they are happy to share with their guests. The vacation home is very well equipped and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The large kitchen in particular leaves nothing to be desired. The garden with its various terraces is a dream, and the pool was still inviting for swimming even at the end of September.
If you are looking for peace and quiet in an Italy that is still untouched by tourism, this is the place for you, and you will appreciate the excursions to the small villages and towns in the surrounding area. However, we did much less than we had originally planned, simply because we wanted to enjoy the beautiful vacation home and had a wonderful time relaxing here.

We are enjoying a carefree and relaxing family vacation at Villa Tartaruga, and we are considering not returning home.
The rooms are perfectly furnished for us, and the pool with its view is a dream. The kitchen offers everything you need for self-catering, although we tried out many of your gastronomic tips in the region and thoroughly enjoyed Italian hospitality.

The Schildkrötenrücken – a little island of bliss. If you can't relax here, you don't deserve any better.
Nestled in the lovely countryside is the property where we felt like royalty for two weeks. The furnishings and comfort of the house, especially the fully equipped kitchen, leave nothing to be desired. The pool and its surroundings were extremely well maintained. We particularly enjoyed it in the morning hours and also had our lunch there. It is obvious that the owners are committed to providing their guests with an unforgettable vacation."
